China is Building World's First 5G Train Station in Shanghai
Yesterday afternoon, the world's first railway station equipped with 5G indoor digital system began construction at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station.
Industry insiders pointed out that the construction of 5G railway station is an important milestone in Shanghai's 5G commercial pace because it will lay a solid foundation for Shanghai to build a "dual Gigabit broadband city" (mobile communication network and fixed broadband network to achieve Gigabit coverage). At the same time, it is also an important milestone for the intelligent transformation and application of 5G technology in China.
Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station is one of the largest railway stations in China, with an average passenger flow of 200,000 people per day. The world's first 5G railway station is based on Huawei's 5G Indoor Digital System (DIS) technology. It is the first time that 5G technology is used to display 4K high-definition response (for security check) and provide high-definition videos for passengers. Supported by information infrastructure, it promotes the further transformation of the railway station to a smart railway station.
